A cake smash session is a great way to celebrate your little one’s first birthday! My approach is simple, clean, and focused on capturing those natural, joyful moments. Using soft whites and neutral tones, we create timeless photos of your little one diving into the cake, having fun, and flashing their adorable smiles. It’s all about enjoying the moment—and we’re here to capture every sweet second!
When is the best time for a cake smash photoshoot?
The best time for a cake smash session is when your baby is between 8 and 10 months old. This is the ideal time when babies can sit confidently but not yet walk, making it easier to capture their playful faces as they enjoy the cake and have fun. These sessions perfectly capture your baby’s growing personality, focusing on the pure joy of the moment.
What can you expect during the photoshoot?
Cake smash photoshoots last approximately 1.5-2 hours. We start with playing and getting to know each other better. During this time your baby will have the chance to explore with toys and props so I can capture their unique features in a relaxed and fun environment. Once they are comfortable, it’s time for the cake! I use a simple, beautiful nude cake from my trusted bakery, but if you would like to bring your own custom design, we can certainly discuss that.

After the cake smash photoshoot fun, we continue with a bubble bath where your little one can splash around as bubbles float through the air. This playful part of the session not only adds to the fun, but also helps with the clean up after the cake! After these delicious moments, we finish the session with more smiles and captured memories.
The wardrobe for you and styling tips
To ensure your baby looks adorable and fits perfectly with the neutral, timeless style of the session, I offer a selection of beautiful, organic baby outfits from my studio. After booking, you will receive a Client Closet Guide with clothing options for your little one and suggestions for the rest of the family. Neutral tones and soft fabrics work best to keep the focus on your baby’s joyful facial expressions. If you would like to bring a special outfit or heirloom, feel free to do so!

How does booking and preparation work?

Het is het beste om je sessie van tevoren te boeken om een plek te garanderen.  Tijdens deze periode zal ik je gedetailleerde begeleiding geven over wat je kunt verwachten, inclusief kledingkeuzes en hoe je je baby kunt voorbereiden op de sessie.



After the cake smash photoshoot

Zodra je cakesmash fotoshoot is voltooid, zal ik zorgvuldig de mooiste beelden van de sessie selecteren en bewerken. Alle geselecteerde foto's worden zowel in kleur als in zwart-wit bewerkt. Binnen drie weken na de cakesmash fotoshoot ontvang je een link naar je persoonlijke, beveiligde galerij, waar je alle foto's kunt bekijken en je favorieten kunt kiezen. Nadat je je keuzes hebt gemaakt, wordt je definitieve galerij binnen twee weken geleverd.

Naast digitale bestanden bied ik een prachtige collectie fotoproducten aan, waaronder luxe afdrukken, canvas wanddecoraties en verschillende fotoalbums. Een volledige prijslijst is beschikbaar via e-mail, en je kunt voorbeelden van deze producten in mijn studio bekijken.
